The American Civil War mod for Napoleon Total War will be updating tomorrow to 2.0. It will feature 43 historically accurate battlefields. Check it out. After an easy installation, Empire Total War American Civil War Mod for Mac opens a setup assistant that prompts the user to enter a master Empire Total War American Civil War Mod. The application rates it for its level of security, and encourages the user to enter those that have additional characters.

So, I come here to you, the FSE community, to help me find a mod that I will enjoy, and/or enjoy playing with others.
When it comes to Empire: Total War, I absolutely love the mods where they emphasize the campaign. Empire (I'll stick with that) has my favorite campaign out of any Total War, second to the Medieval II: Total War campaigns. So, here's where we get down to business.I have tried so many Empire mods, you'd shit yourself if you knew. Some of the mods I tried are:European Wars II, DarthMod: Ultimate Commander (Hated it), Empires of Destiny, Empire Enhanced, Empire Realism, The Blue and the Grey (American Civil War), the Goutlard mini-mods (changes battle behavior, unit spacing, etc.), and various other mini-mods and overhauls.Basically, I'm looking for a good realism mod, that isn't afraid to make the game very difficult. I'm looking for emphasis on the campaign. The mod needs to be set between 1600 and 1800. And, definitely larger unit sizes (I hate the small sizes of units in the Total Wars from Empire and later).If there are mods that you play, that you would recommend, I will absolutely try it, even if it's a mod I have played previosuly.
Maybe I'll actually pick it up and enjoy it, even though I haven't before. Well the English Civil War mod is pretty fun.But if you want larger units you can easily do it yourself, vanilla or with a mod.Just go to AppData/Creative Assembly/Empire/scripts and then go into the preferences script. Now you will see a bunch of code. Make it full screen and look for a line near the top called 'campaignunitmuliplier' and you will see a value like.75 or 1.
Now if you change the value you can make the unit size as big as you want. I think if you go 4 you will have 800 man line infantry units, so you can fine tune it to suit your needs.Another tip: If you want an unrestricted camera, go to the preferences script, look for 'defaultcameratype' and you will see a value like 1 or 0. Change it to 2 and now you have an unrestricted camera. Trust me, its really useful.I'm an ex NTW modder.
