Long Time No Siege
Long time no siege. Well, it's been a very long time since I did any constructive posting on my blog. Between the birth of our little girl, the moving to a new house and other private life difficulties, wargaming has taken a back seat for some time now.
As part of Suleiman's left flank you have to take Brussels in 2 turns to stop Harald building Oracle before your mighty leader.
So, I was away for some time, playing The Long Dark. It is a similar game to aoe2 actually, you also need to hunt deer and avoid wolves. It has a blacksmith as well.Anyway, during this time the only thing I did aoe2 related was watching streams. I caught all pro games, sometimes on youtube and sometimes on twitch.A few days ago, I decided to come back. It was a good aoe comeback. I was like 100 elo better than I used to be.

Scouting with sheep itself offers at least 50 elo. I never knew it was this important.
I was able to wall myself in many maps and stole so many sheep and boar.I suddenly realized I could do two range flush! Of course, I need 24 or 25 vils to do so, but it is something!I even realized I could do quick walling, trapping three militia with 6 of my villagers, killing them all very fast without losing a single vil! What about mangonel micros?

Yeah, I could do them as well. But I guess the incredibly reduced lag of 5.3 helped me more than watching pro games here.I was fluctuating around 1680-1720 band, but I could play on par with two 1800+ players. I actually had civ advantage in both games, but still, I pushed them hard for a very long time, only to lose focus and let my army melt under a quick built defensive castles. This is all thanks to the many wonderful pros. Thanks to escapegaming, the quality of aoe players will skyrocket soon!.
