(CS). (CoP). (CoP).Mod sources:.(ModDB).(GameFront).(Nexus Mods).(/sg/ Repos). When you download it you should get 4 files. (bin1-3 and setup) Run setup. The installer should have this weird broken text but just follow the default options and guide it too your stalker cop directory and let it do its thing.(then dump the gamedata folder from the translation file into the (EDIT: place it, and any mod gamedata folders you use, into the CoP directory, not dead air's one) dead air directory (which is in the stalker cop directory) And launch the game.(and set the localization to eng after the 4th, then 3rd,menu options get you to the right page. Enjoy dead air with a somewhat broken translation.

(at least for me)Oh, also you should use google chrome for that Russian download page, and let it translate it all to English for you.(right click - translate to English)EDIT: to fix transaltion issues, place it's gamedata folder into the CoP directory, not the dead air folder within it. Dead Air is standalone, so it doesn't need the CoP main files. Make a new directory through the installer or point it to an already existing (empty) directory. Once installed, launch the game to make sure it works and you can start installing your desired add-ons.All add-ons should include the gamedata folder inside which are all required files for the mod.

All you need to do is drop the gamedata folder into Dead Air main directory (where the.exe is) and overwrite any conflicts. After installing the translation you're going to want to go into the in-game options and change localization from rus to eng. Otherwise it keeps resetting back to russian on every startup even with the translation files in. I know this is old af, but does dead air not come with it's needed gamedata?

I only see 'configs' in the gamedata folder (and the files from the english translation addon), i don't suppose this is how it's supposed to be. Do i need to download the rest of the gamedata folder from somewhere else?

Like where are the texture files for the game, scripts, models, ai scripts and such?i found this file online which is supposedly the gamedata for dead air, my gamedata directory isn't like that so that's why i'm a little confused. This may be a misunderstanding from my part but i rly suck at modding in general so forgive my lack of knowledgehalp pls. Looking for a separate gamedata folder isn't needed, unless the mod has been updated and changed drastically since the last time I played it. If I recall correctly, the game generates the gamedata folder and everything necessary in it once you launch it and/or start a new game. How I've always done it is that I install Dead Air and the translation mod, launch it, set the options to my liking/needs and quit the game. Only after that I dump the rest of the mods in.

All mods aren't directly compatible with each other so you're going to have to be a bit careful. Look through the files included in the conflicting mods, overwrite where you can, merge.ltx files where necessary but leave scripts, animation files and the like alone unless you know what you're doing.

If there is a conflict you don't know how to fix you're just going to have to make a compromise between which of the two mods you want more.I have 13 mods installed and had to reinstall the game multiple times, as well as fiddle with the mods for hours to get everything working correctly. It's tedious but that's S.T.A.L.K.E.R. You just have to keep piling duct tape on top of the vodka fueled slav magic so that everything works correctly.

Pockets & more inventory slots on your body in general is a cool idea but there needs to be more freedom in what you can place where (no reason why every handgun has to compete for a single slot when you could forgo a primary for a handgun or just use both waist slots for them, grenades compete with binoculars for a slot for no good reason, hand lights compete with artefact detectors for a single slot for no good reason, can't reload/ unjam some guns unless you have pockets for no good reason)'. Things I liked:+ weapon misaligning a bit from moving + looking around quick while aiming makes an interesting tradeoff between repositioning/ retargeting mid firefight and accuracy+ more guns than vanilla is always neat+ weapon degradation expanded on with specific problems that can affect gameplay (ie.
