Teamviewer A Connection Cannot Be Established
Aug 29, 2016 - Sometime in April 2016 this started happening. New TV IDs can not be accessed. All IDs generated before April are working fine.

Teamviewer A Connection Cannot Be Established Online
So I keep getting this message from TeamViewer on just ONE PC on my LAN. It appears (from reading the TeamViewer Log file at C:Program Files (x86)TeamViewerTeamViewer12Logfile.log) that the PC is being blocked by TeamViewer. Not sure why this particular PC would be blocked.
This is a free for personal use account. I use it for personal use and, quite honestly, I have used it to connect to a few clients instead of my TeamViewer Business account - just for convenience. But, if it were an issue of using a free account to connect to too many PCs, it would seem that the account itself would be locked, not just a single PC. I can still log into the account from other PCs and still access all PCs in the account (with the exception of this blocked one of course).Working on my own remote assistance app for Windows PCs (as that is 99% of my client use) just because I have always wanted to do one, and because I think people are hugely overcharged for remote assistance.I have tried cheaper remote assistance, but they have not been up to par as far as screen resolution, speed or simple things like file transfer. And I'd like to explore a 'pay as you go' model where you just pay for what you use. This could mean a per-connection payment scheme or maybe a per-GB bandwidth usage scheme. You should be able to install the host application on as many PCs as you like - no charge. I just think remote assistance can be done more cheaply than TeamViewer while maintaining a simple UI, fast connections and a great looking resolution.A lot of the stuff in TeamViewer and LogMeIn is simply overkill for me.
I need a fast connection, good resolution, file transfer, wake on lan and a way to tell me when antivirus (or other apps) need to be renewed. That's about it.Guess I need to get back to work on it.

That's about it.Guess I need to get back to work on it. Pat.C wrote:If VM's can reach out on the same physical device then I would think TeamViewer is not blocking as that would be IP based. Just guessing on that.Sounds like a software setup issue. Check your firewall on the box. Confirm the port is open for TeamViewer. Where your VM's by nature could be using the same port but the VM software altering or port forwarding to the correct or another unblocked port.My first thought was about IP blocking as well, but TV does seem to be blocking, just using a key (probably related to hardware serial numbers) for a particular device to do it.
Not sure why they wouldn't just block the account. As in making sure it's off in sys-tray?I have fixed this exact issue before with this method.Never stop asking basic questions. Lots of times those very things are what gets overlooked. In this case I did disable all other network adapters in my quest for the culprit (even the VMware virtual adapters). From the message in the log file, it looks like the blocking is being done using some sort of identification key specific to this PC (not IP address though) that is kept in the TeamViewer servers.
I am having this issue with new Ubuntu installation on one of my friends. I am trying to access his laptop and I cannot access from my laptop. Previously it was working perfectly and I can connect to other friends but not with this one. He is running Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and installed Teamviewer using.deb package. When I enter his user ID, it simply throws a pop up with:`Connection could not be established.Reason Unknown error`I searched on the web, but it didn't have proper answer.
